AFC Wembley U15s have been crowned champions of The Middlesex FA Cup.

AFC Wembley defeated Whitton Wanderer’s 4 – 0 at the Brentford Sports Recreation Ground.

AFC Wembley U15’s coach Ahmed Jama stated the following:

” It was a fantastic performance from the boys winning the Middlesex Cup. It was a close start to the game with both teams competing well. Man of the match Tofan Safari opened the scoring on 30 minutes completing a neat one two on the edge of the box and finishing neatly, slotting nearly past the oncoming keeper.

We managed to go 2-0 up a few minutes later with a great drive from 25 yards by Emmanuel Ihenacho giving the keeper no chance. Whitton Wanderers missed a penalty at the start of the second half. We managed to dominate the game from there on creating numerous chances and playing some quality football. Harry Leverington scores with a controlled finish with his left foot and the game was wrapped up by Anthony Whyte with a calm finish late on.

The boys deserved the win, impressing the whole crowd. We  couldn’t have asked for more with a clean sheet and 4 goals and a clean sheet against tough opposition. Every player contributed to a dominant display. The hard work starts again with our League Cup final  next month “

This victory marks the second time the u15’s have won the Middlesex Cup having been victorious in 2016 as AFC Wembley U13s.

A major congratulations to the Coaches, Players and Parents.
