AFC Wembley Under 11s have been granted a new kit with the help on the Mcdonalds kit scheme .
The Kit Scheme as provided over 175,000 kits to clubs across the UK with 70,000 new football kits being delivered in 2016.
Local Mcdonalds franchisee Henri Appiah said “AFC Wembley are an excellent example of a grassroots club with a great community spirit. I really enjoyed meeting the team and the coaches, and I’m proud that I’ve been able to provide the U11s with a strip this year. It’s fantastic to be able to support local sport in the area, and I would like to thank the team for inviting me along to celebrate with them in receiving their new kit and wish them the best for this year’s season.”
Club chairman MJ stated the following:
“We’re hugely grateful to McDonald’s for donating a new kit for our U11s team. An average team strip costs around £500 per season, so this really is a huge saving for us and means we can spend the money on other areas of the club that need it. The kids absolutely love wearing their new strip. Having the kit has created fantastic unity and team spirit and has given the players extra motivation to train and have a great season.”
