AFC Wembley U15’s have progressed onto the finals of the Middlesex Cup final after defeating Sandgate FC 2-0 in a showcasing Semi-final showdown. 

Having been knocked out of the cup on penalties last year by Sandgate, AFCW were eager for retribution and to book a place in what will be AFC Wembley’s second cup final in the 2017/18 season thus far. U15 manager Ahmed Jama stated the following:

“We were knocked out on penalties last year against Sandgate. Typical semi final with both teams battling throughout the game. Went 1-0 up midway through the first half and managed to control the game. A great performance from the whole team especially the defence who managed to limit Sandgate to very few chances”

Goalscorer’s Dylan Noonan and Shane Mcguinness-Clifford along with a man of the match performance from Emmanuel Ihenacho booked a place in the final will take place on 18th March 2018. Time and location to be confirmed
