5. FOOTBALL IS FUN 

Pretty self-explanatory. In times when your local community may be feeling negative, uninspiring, gloomy and unpleasant to be around, inject some football and the atmosphere changes. It’s a sport people love to watch, love to play and love to hate. The emotional rollercoaster during football is undeniable which alone can change any atmosphere.

4. FOOTBALL IS RESPECT 

Showing someone respect or even learning how to, could dissolve many of the worlds current issues. A mutual respect between 2 parties may not bring about likability or love but will definitely encourage peace and understanding. Football is all about competition, but within this competition creates a mutual respect that is undeniable. A respect that keeps friendly competition as friendly competition and nothing more. This is mutual respect that is contagious and can be utilised throughout communities outside of  a footballing environment.

3. FOOTBALL IS WELL-BEING  

Sometimes focusing on getting fit is a painful process the same way focusing on a maths teacher explain equations may not teach you anything at all. But the moment that maths equation is presented in the form of a game, song or something you can relate to, it stays with you. The enjoyment of playing football will hide the fact that you are doing cardio. And lots of it. This is a great way to keep fit and reach fitness goals because the physiological battle of hitting a target is now hidden the behind the enjoyment of partaking in a game.

2. FOOTBALL IS A TEACHER

Football is one of the greatest teachers of all time. It has the ability to teach various individuals and various groups simultaneously. Any interaction with football will teach you subjects such as communication, self-awareness, quick analysis, leadership, listening and so much more. Football has the ability to teach you things about yourself as well as your contribution to a team. The beauty about these lessons are the fact that you may not learn them in any other environment in such an effective and quick manner.

1 FOOTBALL KNOWS NO RACE RELIGION OR GENDER

A growing issue within our local communities is division. In the midst of these divisions are seeds of envy, dislike, misunderstanding, lack of communication etc. Seeds that will only contribute to the growing issues within our communities. The Sport of football is like a new born baby that see’s the world with innocence in its purest form. Football is neither racist, gender specific, religious, nor class discriminative. All these things are acts of people shaped by different societies and cultures. The game of football caries a grace that ignores all seeds of separation and invites cohesion for all to experience.
